Extension Activities 2015-16

• Distribution of note books and other stationary items was held on 30.01.2016 at Child Aid Foundation by the Department of Social Work and STARS students. Students interacted with the children.
• Certificate courses on Cutting and Tailoring to economically backward women were conducted by the STARS in collaboration with All India Democratic Women Association (AIDWA) at Kasturibaipet, Durgapuram, Madhuranagar and Prakashnagar areas. 120 women were trained under this programme.
• STARS students were taken for an Exposure program to the Old Age Home run by the Society of the Little Sisters of the Poor at Nambur, Guntur, on 30.01.2016. The elderly people interacted with students and shared their experiences. 35 students along with 3 lecturers participated in the program.
• A  Skill Development Programme was organised at Amodini, a Centre for the Homeless Girls, Guntur by the STARS students on 30.01.2016.
• The STARS students on 06.02.2016 visited the homes of mentally retarded at Nunna and interacted with the inmates. It was a great experience to the students that gave a positive outlook towards life, others and be grateful to God.
• On 06.02.2016, the students of STARS visited Asha Kiran, a Home for Old Age at Nunna, Krishna District and interacted with them.
